Account Administrator Duties and Responsibilities

The Account Administrator is responsible for obtaining the company's authorization to file through AESDirect and maintaining the security of the company's account. This encompasses:
Keeping the permanent Admin Code secure.
Ensuring that one of the certification quizzes is passed.
Distributing the user name and password to the company's authorized filers with contact information (including the Account Administrator's e-mail address and phone number), once the AESDirect account has been authorized for filing shipment information.
Keeping the password current, i.e.:
Changing the password at least every 180 days.
Changing the password if an employee with access to the password leaves the company or otherwise is no longer an authorized user.
Advising all authorized company filers when the password has been changed.
Reviewing all e-mails received from AESDirect and Census and taking appropriate action and/or circulating them to company AESDirect filers.
If leaving the company, notifying senior management and faxing a request to the AESDirect support staff as detailed in the Support Center, Change Your Administrative Contact. Once in place, the new administrator must select a new administrator code and change the password.
Maintaining the accuracy of their company's AESDirect account profile.
